I think it helps promote an overall betterlifestyle. Granted, in today's busy lifestyle sometimes it is hard to not eat processed meats or processed dairy foods but with proper planning you can successfully implement a vegetarial lifestyle without cutting out all of your meats. One great way to start is with getting vegetables with meals instead of fries or baked potatoes. A nutritionist spoke on the Today Show today about even changing baked potatoes out for baked sweet potatoes. My question would be if someone who is physically active or who works out would be okay not consuming the large amounts of protein typically found in most meats?

I think being a vegetarian is a great concept but how beneficial is it versus eating a well balanced diet? I have tried the whole eating salads and cutting back on meat based proteins and it has always made me feel sluggish.
